At the pre-Davos 2026 Ambassadors’ luncheon on 16 December 2025, hosted by President & CEO of the World Economic Forum in Geneva, Mr. Borge Brende, Ambassador Kumar highlighted India’s priorities for WEF 2026, emphasizing the role of emerging technologies like AI and India’s upcoming AI Impact Summit in February 2026. Mr. Brende praised India’s robust 8.2% growth and its contribution of around 16% to global GDP, noting its significance as a growth engine amid challenging global trade conditions.
