The Embassy of India, Berne facilitated a successful visit of the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) delegation, led by Chairperson Shri K. Rajaraman, to Switzerland on 12 December 2025. Key engagements included a focused roundtable with leading AMCs, financial institutions, investors, and stakeholders, discussing emerging opportunities in the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City International Financial Services Centre (GIFT IFSC).

India’s IFSCs are rapidly emerging as global hubs for innovation, fintech, sustainable finance, and cross-border financial activities. Swiss financial institutions have significant potential to drive growth by partnering with and investing in India’s expanding IFSC ecosystem.

Minister (Com) Anoop Dhingra represented the Embassy of India, Berne, emphasizing the strong India–Switzerland economic relationship, set to grow further under the India–EFTA TEPA. Emerging opportunities are opening up for Swiss investors across various sectors in India, including BFSI, fostering collaboration, partnerships, and investment.
