From 02-03 December 2025, Mission facilitated a series of productive engagements for Chairman of the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), Mr. Mohit Singla, with key Swiss stakeholders in the Green Energy, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Biofuels, and Chemicals sectors during his visit to Switzerland. The visit aimed to further strengthen India–Switzerland trade relations and explore avenues for mutually beneficial collaboration in emerging clean-technology domains.
During the visit, Mr. Singla held a focused discussion with CEO and Founder of Synhelion, Dr. Philipp Furler, to assess investment and partnership opportunities for introducing Synhelion’s solar-to-fuel technology in India. The interaction highlighted significant potential for cooperation in advancing innovative renewable-fuel solutions.
Mr. Singla also met CEO of Metafuels AG, Mr. Saurabh Kapoor, at the company’s headquarters in Zurich. The meeting centered on opportunities to leverage Metafuels’ proprietary Aerobrew technology for converting methanol into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The discussion emphasized the technology’s relevance to India’s target of achieving 5% SAF blending by 2030 and its broader commitment to attaining net-zero emissions by 2070.
