Commemorating 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda at Chancery on 13 November 2025

The Embassy of India in Switzerland commemorated Birsa Munda’s 150th birth anniversary by celebrating Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas at the Chancery.
On this occasion, Ambassador Mridul Kumar offered floral tributes to Birsa Munda and delivered an address highlighting his courage, sacrifice, and inspiring legacy, as well as his significant contribution to India’s freedom struggle. A documentary showcasing his life and message was also screened for the attendees.
The event was organized as part of the commemorative observances of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Birsa Munda during Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada. The programme concluded with a collective rendition of Vande Mataram, paying tribute to his vision of unity, self-respect, and freedom from oppression.
