On the second day after his arrival in the Principality of Liechtenstein, 19th April 2016, Hon'ble Minister of State for External Affairs, of India, General V. K. Singh, paid a Courtesy call on His Serene Highness Hereditary Prince Alois, of the Principality of Liechtenstein, at Vaduz Castle. He was very warmly met and the two sides were delighted at the opportunity to meet and exchange views. Hon'ble Minister of State for External Affairs, General V. K. Singh, met Ms. Aurelia Frick, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Education and Cultural Affairs of the Principality of Liechtenstein, and held talks to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. Minister of State for External Affairs, General V. K. Singh, visited the Treasure Chamber of the Principality of Liechtenstein. The Liechtenstein Treasure Chamber displays primarily precious objects which used to be or are still privately owned. Some of the fine works collected by the Princely family for over a hundred years, including weapons famous the world over, are on display in the Treasure Chamber. MOS (VKS) also visited the exhibition building of the Hilti Art Foundation in downtown Vaduz, Liechtenstein, on 19 April 2016. As an extension and complement to the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, this facility showcases important paintings and sculptures from the late nineteenth century to the present. Hilti has invested in manufacturing in India and together with other companies employs more than a 1000 people in India. MOS (VKS) visited Ivoclar Vivadent Company office in Schaan, Principality of Liechtenstein. Ivoclar Vivadent is a global company offering a comprehensive range of innovative products and systems for dentists and dental technicians. As a global player, Ivoclar Vivadent has its subsidiaries and marketing offices in 25 countries, including India. After the successful completion of the visit, MOS (VKS) left for India. This was the first ever visit at a high Ministerial level from India. Liechtenstein, with its US$ 160,000 per capita income, its strong high-tech industrial and manufacturing foundations, and its thriving financial sector, plays an important role in global affairs; the resumption of a high-level dialogue augurs well for the future of bilateral relations. India is also scouting for partners and ideas for the new programs to rejuvenate the economy and Liechtenstein can be a great partner in various schemes, including Skilling India.
