Presentation of Credentials to His Serene Highness Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein

Ambassador Smita Purushottam presented her credentials to His Serene Highness Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein on 11th December, 2015. The Liechtenstein is concurrently accredited to Embassy of India, Switzerland Also, a session on Make in India organised by Dr. Pankaj Agarwal, President of the India Club. Liechtenstein, despite its tiny size (population of around 36,000), tucked away in the east of Switzerland and bordering Austria, has one of the highest per capita incomes (US$ 150,000) and the highest per capita industrialization rate in the world, with manufacturing accounting for 40% of its US$5 billion economy and financial services comprising only 25%. It is also very high in innovation. It can thus partner India in manufacturing, high technology and financial investment.
