The Embassy together with IMD, Lausanne, one of the best and most prestigious Institutes in the world, organised the Indo-Swiss Investment and Innovation Forum on 23 March, 2017 at IMD Lausanne. We were fortunate to have participation from the Swiss Ministries of Innovation & Vocational Education and also the Swiss Foreign Ministry. This was judged one of the best Indo-Swiss events to have been held in the past 10 years.
A galaxy of the Indian and Swiss business community and the Research and Science Community attended the programme which fertilized many new ideas both in investment and innovation and engendered a productive discussion on the verticals of Greentech, Investment, IOT, Cyber Security & IT, Medtech and Biotech, and R&D collaborations and Vocational Education & Training. German scientists also participated!
Dr. V.K. Saraswat, Member, NITI Aayog and India’s most revered scientist and Padma Vibhushan awardee, addressed the conference from Delhi and motivated the participants to engage with a rapidly developing India in both technology and investment. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Additional Secretary from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Shri J. Krishna Kishore, CEO APEDB (Andhra Pradesh Economic development Board) and his fabulous team, Shri Benjamin Lionel, Director, DRDO and his team, Ms. Payal Koul, Vice President and Ms. Priyanka Pande, Invest India, travelled from India to answer queries of the participants on the business environment in India. Dr. V. Kamakoti, Shri G.S. Madhusudan and Dr. Shankar Raman from IIT Madras stunned the gathering with the work they are undertaking in cyber security and digital infrastructure.
A lot of productive partnerships were forged in the Forum. The Indo Swiss Vocational Education Platform was launched. The evening concluded with a scintillating performance by Gauri (Ms. Priscilla Brülhart), Pt. Sanju Sahay (who came from London), Ms. Namrata, MS Vocal, and Mr. Sebastian Delacroix who played Dilruba. They received a standing ovation from the crowd. Prof. Charles Dhanaraj moderated the event and ensured that the packed agenda was executed efficiently. We are ever grateful to him and to IMD for helping us organise a most successful event which birthed many new partnerships, projects and mutually beneficial projects for India and Switzerland.
Die Botschaft hat am 23. März 2017 zusammen mit IMD Lausanne, eine der besten und prestigeträchtigsten Business-Hochschulen der Welt, in den Räumlichkeiten der IMD Lausanne das Indo-Swiss Investment and Innovation Forum veranstaltet. Wir hatten das Vorrecht auch Vertreter des Staatssekretariats für Bildung, Forschung und Innovation und des Eidgenössichen Departements für Auswärtige Angelegenheiten willkommen heissen zu dürfen. Es wurde als eine der besten indisch-schweizerischen Veranstaltungen der letzten zehn Jahre erachtet.
Ein erlesener Kreis von Geschäftsleuten, Forschern und Wissenschaftlern aus Indien und aus der Schweiz nahm an dem Anlass Teil, der den Anstoss gab zu vielen neuen Ideen im Zusammenhang mit Investitionen und Innovation und zu fruchtbaren Diskussionen zu den Themen Greentech, Investitionen, „Internet of Things“, IT und Computer- und Netzsicherheit, Medtech und Biotech, Forschungs- und Entwicklungspartnershaften und Berufsbildung. Auch Forscher aus Deutschland nahmen Teil!
Dr. V.K. Saraswat, Mitglied des NITI Aayog Think-Tank der indischen Regierung und hoch angesehener mit dem Padma Vibhushan Orden ausgezeichneter indischer Wissenschaftler, richtete sich von Delhi aus an die Konferenz und ermutigte die Teilnehmenden dazu, sowohl in der Technologie als auch im Bereich Investitionen mit dem rapide wachsenden Indien zusammenzuspannen. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Unterstaatssekretär im Ministerium für Elektronik und Informationstechnologie, Herr J. Krishna Kishore, CEO des Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board und sein ausgezeichnetes Team, Herr Benjamin Lionel, Leiter der Defence Research and Development Organization und sein Team, Frau Payal Koul, Vizepräsidentin bei Invest India und Frau Priyanka Pande ebenfalls von Invest India, sind eigens aus Indien angereist, um die Fragen der Teilnehmenden über das Geschäftsumfeld in Indien zu beantworten. Dr. V. Kamakoti, Herr G.S. Madhusudan und Dr. Shankar Raman von der technischen Hochschule IIT Madras beeindruckten die Versammlung mit ihrer Präsentation über ihre Arbeit in der Computer- und Netzsicherheit und der digitalen Infrastruktur.
Aus dem Forum gingen viele produktive Partnershaften hervor. Die indisch-schweizerische Berufsbildungsplattform, Indo Swiss Vocational Education Platform, wurde lanciert. Der Abend endete mit einer bezaubernden Aufführung von Gauri (Frau Priscilla Brülhart), Pt. Sanju Sahay (der aus London anreiste), Frau Namrata, MS Vocal und Herr Sebastian Delacroix, der die Dilruba spielte. Die Aufführung erntete eine gebührende Standing Ovation. Prof. Charles Dhanaraj moderierte den ganzen Anlass und sorgte dafür, dass die sehr volle Agenda reibungslos ausgeführt werden konnte. Wir sind ihm und der IMD von Herzen dankbar für ihre Unterstützung, die uns ermöglichte diesen äusserst erfolgreichen Anlass durchzuführen, der so viele neue Partnerschaften und Projekte zum beiderseitigen Vorteil von Indien und der Schweiz hervorgebracht hat.
Le 23 mars 2017, dernier, l’ambassade a organisé en collaboration avec IMD Lausanne, un des meilleurs et plus prestigieux instituts de management du monde, l’Indo-Swiss Investment and Innovation Forum qui s’est déroulé dans les locaux de l’IMD. Nous avions le privilège de pouvoir accueillir aussi des représentants du Secrétariat d’état à la formation, à la recherche et à l’innovation ainsi que du Département fédéral des affaires étrangères. C’était considéré comme un des meilleurs événements indo-suisses des derniers 10 ans.
Un groupe d’hommes et de femmes d’affaires, de chercheurs et de scientifiques estimés de l’Inde et de la Suisse ont assisté à ce programme qui a impulsé beaucoup de nouvelles idées dans l’investissement et l’innovation et de nombreuses discussions fructueuses autour des thèmes de technologie verte, investissements, Internet des objets, informatique et cybersécurité, technologie médicale et biotechnologie, collaborations dans la recherche et développement et formation professionnelle. Il y avait même des scientifiques de l’Allemagne !
Dr. V.K. Saraswat, membre du think tank du gouvernement Indien NITI Aayog et scientifique hautement estimé de l’Inde en tant que bénéficiaire de la distinction Padma Vibhushan, a adressé la parole à la conférence depuis Delhi pour encourager les participants à s’engager, aussi bien dans la technologie que dans les investissements, en une Inde en développement rapide. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Secrétaire adjoint au Ministère de l’électronique et de l’Informatique, Shri J. Krishna Kishore, CEO de l’Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board avec son excellente équipe, Shri Benjamin Lionel, Director du Defence Research and Development Organisation avec son équipe, Mme Payal Koul, Vice-Présidente d’Invest India et Mme Priyanka Pande aussi d’Invest India, sont venus exprès de l’Inde pour répondre aux questions des participants quant à l’environnement commercial en Inde. Dr. V. Kamakoti, Shri GS Madhusudan et Shri Shankar Raman de l’institut polytechnique IIT Madras ont impressionné le public avec leur présentation sur leur travail dans la cybersécurité et l’infrastructure digitale.
Grâce à ce forum, beaucoup de partenariats fructueux ont été établis. La plate-forme indo-suisse pour la formation professionnelle, l’Indo Swiss Vocational Education Platform, était lancée. La soirée s’est terminée par une brillante performance par Gauri (Mme Priscilla Brülhart), Pt. Sanju Sahay (venue exprès de Londres), Mme Namrata, MS Vocal et M. Sebastian Delacroix qui a joué du Dilruba. Ils étaient applaudis debout par le public. Prof. Charles Dhanaraj a animé tout l’événement et s’est assuré que le programme bien chargé a pu se dérouler sans incident. Nous sommes infiniment reconnaissantes envers lui et l’institut IMD de nous avoir permis d’organiser un événement tellement réussi qui a donné naissance à autant de partenariats et projets mutuellement avantageux pour l’Inde et la Suisse.
