India Food Festival, Park Weggis Hotel Sep 16-October 8, 2016 in Lucerne

An India Food Festival is being held by Park Weggis Hotel between September 16 - October 8, 2016.  Mr. Peter Kampfer, Manager, has gone all out to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Mr. Baptist Lottenbach, Mayor of Weggis, a small town nestled in a valley by a pristine and sparkling lake, was present at the launch of the festival. Renowned chef Hemant Oberoi from Taj Mahal Palace Hotel inaugurated the tradition 9 years ago. This year Chef Abhijit Thakre and his team from the Taj are presenting the best of Indian fare at this beautiful and breath-taking location. Ms. Olya from the Taj, Manager, was present to ensure everyone got a good taste of the food in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.

The program also includes lectures on promoting business with India and the classical dance Kathak by Priscilla Brulhart, who utterly charmed the Swiss audience with cries of "Bravo" and "Encore" resonating after her performance. The Swiss really appreciate Indian classical dance and music. Renowned German Sitar player Mr, Wiyandra (Willibald Platzer) also graced the occasion with soulful and beautiful Indian classical music.

We urge our friends to attend this festival and experience the stunning beauty of this relatively untouched and unspoilt paradise on earth. The lakes are so clean people say we can drink from it.
